He was born on Tuesday, April 20, 1945 in Clanton, Alabama, Son of the late Coye Nichols and the late Thelma Martin Nichols. He was a Truck Driver. Surviving are his Son, Billy Nichols of Maplesville, AL; Daughter, Joanne Mims of Shelby, AL and 6 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his Son, Columbus Nichols, Jr.; Grandson, Michael Nichols and Parents, Coye & Thelma Nichols. Friends will be received from 5-8, Thursday, October 2, 2008 @ Martin Funeral Home. Services will be held Friday, October 3, 2008, at 11:00AM. at Sardis Baptist Chruch with Rev. Joey Green and Rev. William Earl Short officiating. Interment will follow in Sardis Baptist Cemetery, Maplesville, Alabama. Martin Funeral Home directing.
