Curtis Orban Childress

Curtis Orban Childress, 83, of Jemison, Alabama passed away June 10, 2022 at Shelby Baptist Medical Center in Alabaster, Alabama.

He was born August 7, 1938 in Alabama, son of the late Charlie Childress and the late Agnes Compton Childress.

He was a Carpenter and Farmer.

Surviving are his Wife, Mary Linda Childress; Children, Monty (Heather) Gentry, Mark (Becky) Gentry and Toby Gentry; Grandchildren, Tabatha (Jackie) Killingsworth, Bridgett (Wesley) Schoener, Trish (Danny Knight) Childress, Shay (Tyler) Guy, Paige (Wesley) Smith, Jake (Macey) Gentry, Raven (Steven) Johnson, Blake (Abby) Gentry, Patrick Gentry and Isla Gentry; Great-Grandchildren, Haily, Nadiley, Hannah, Bella, Lindsey, Braylon, Zayda, Blakelyn, Cash, Derrick, Dustin, Rylan, Cohen and Oaklyn; Sister, Shirley (Calvin) Hatcher; his fur Baby, Buddy.

He was preceded in death by his Father, Charlie Childress; Mother, Agnes Childress; Sons, Patrick Childress and Tink Childress; Siblings, Nelda Ann Childress and Norris Childress; Nephew, Rip Childress.

Friends will be received Friday, June 17, 2022 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Pleasant Grove #1 in Jemison, Alabama.

Services will be held Saturday, June 18, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at Pleasant Grove #1 with Rev. Billy Wyatt and Rev. Travis Burnett officiating.

Interment will follow in Pleasant Grove #1 Cemetery.
