Daniel Norwood Nelson

Daniel Norwood Nelson, 39, of Edgefield, South Carolina was born in Anniston, AL on April 1, 1983 and went home to glory on July 3, 2022 He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He had a sense of humor that didn't quit, a smile of sunshine and a heart of gold. He was a surveyor by trade and dearly loved that it gave him a sense of the outdoors. He was a member of the World of Life Church for many years. Surviving are his Daughter, Lanie Nelson Taylor, Sister, Sandi Dalton Hurt, Brother, Justin Hogan, Brother, Landen Hogan, Grandmother, Gladys Annette Nelson, Step-Father, Michael Kendal Hogan, Aunt, Vicki Nelson, Aunt, Deborah Lollar, Aunt, Helen Ross, Aunt, Beverly Morgan, and Uncle, Bob Lollar. He was preceded in death by his Father, John Richard Nelson, Mother, Mary Regina Hogan, Grandfather, Merlin Norwood Nelson, Grandfather, Morris Eugene Lollar, Uncle, John Charles Lollar, Uncle, Douglas Merlin Nelson. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 16, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. EST at the Word of Life Church, 6389 Washington Rd. Appling, GA 30802 with Pastor Sonny Jones officiating. The family request potted plants will be accepted and need to be sent to the Word of Life Church. Martin Funeral Home directing.
