Daniel Roscoe Smitherman

Mr. Daniel R. Smitherman, 73, of Maplesville went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 10, 2018 at his residence. He was born on Friday, September 8, 1944 in Maplesville, Alabama, Son of the late Doil Smitherman and the late Inez Payne. He was a Welder. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Patty Smitherman of Maplesville; son, James (Dawn) Smitherman of Maplesville; daughters, Renee (Tony) Reynolds of Lawley, Beverly (Wayne) Lockhart of Lawley; grandsons, Joey (Lindsey) Smitherman of Auburn, Matt (Courtney) Harrison of Randolph, Troy Harrison of Maplesville; granddaughters, Megan Bowles of Maplesville, Haley (Bradley) Bowen of Auburn; brothers, Doug (Charlotte) Smitherman, Bobby (Mary Jane) Smitherman, Roland (Debra) Smitherman, Roger (Bonnie) Smitherman, all of Maplesville; sisters, Wanda (Steve) Bistline of Pensacola, FL, Annette Smitherman of Maplesville, AL; 6 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by sister, Faye Carter, and brother, Randy Smitherman. Friends will be received from 5-7 p.m., Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at Mt. Carmel Baptist #2. Services will be held Wednesday, June 13, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Carmel Baptist #2 Church with Rev. John Barfoot and Bro. Tony Reynolds officiating. Interment will follow in Mt.
