Born on February 22, 1935, David graduated from Chilton County High School in 1953 and continued his education at Howard College (now Samford University), earning his degree in 1958. Over the course of 55 years, he faithfully served in full-time Christian ministry, sharing the love and message of Christ with countless individuals.

His ministry extended beyond the pulpit when he served as the Director of Missions for the Savannah Baptist Association in Savannah, Georgia. His diligence, humility, and tireless commitment to his faith and community were evident in all aspects of his life.
David was preceded in death by his cherished wife, Judy, who passed away in 2018. Together, they shared a life of love and partnership in ministry that inspired all who knew them. He is survived by his two sons, David (Karen) and Jonathan (Leigh Anna), and by his treasured grandchildren and great grandchildren, who brought him immense joy.
