David Lee SHAVERS, 72, of Verbena died Sunday, January 17, 2010 at Shelby Baptist Medical Center, Alabaster. He was born on Monday, September 6, 1937 in Alabama, Son of the late Robert M. Shavers and the late Agnes Gray Shavers. He was a Maintenance Supervisor. Surviving are his Wife, Virginia Rollan Shavers of Verbena, AL; 3 Sons, David Shavers of Verbena, AL, Danny Lee (Teresa) Shavers of Verbena, AL, Jeff (Alfredia) Shavers of Clanton, AL; Daughter, Debra Crawford of Verbena, AL; 2 Grandsons, Alex Shavers, Jamie Crawford; 3 Granddaughters, Leigh Anna Shavers, Adrianna Shavers, Kacy Crawford; Numerous other family members. He was preceded in death by his Father & Mother, Robert M. & Agnes Gray Shavers. Friends will be received from 5-8, Tuesday, January 19, 2010 @ Martin Funeral Home Chapel. Services will be held Wednesday, January 20, 2010, at 1:00 P.M.. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Wendell Kelley officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Pisgah Cemetery, Clanton, AL Martin Funeral Home directing.
