Dixie Skidmore Jones, 67, of Verbena, Alabama passed away November 22, 2024, at her residence.


She was born March 16, 1957, in Eutaw, Alabama, daughter of the late Joe Lee Skidmore and the late Mary Lee Skidmore.


She was a Seamstress by trade and a giver by heart. Always available to sew, hem, or make any outfit or costume. She loved big and will be missed bigger.


Surviving are her Husband of 50 years, Barry D. Jones; Daughter, Bridgette (Jason) Cooedy; Son, Brian (Raquel) Jones; Grandsons, Joseph Cooedy, Austin Cooedy, Jet Jones and Bo Jones; Granddaughters, Isabella Jones,  Autumn Jones, Zaden Jones and Gemma Jones; Sisters, Charlotte (David) Waite, Doris (Randall) Wyatt, Donna Williams and Wanda Foster; and a host of nieces and nephews.


She was preceded in death by her Father, Joe Lee Skidmore; Mother, Mary Lou Skidmore; Sister, Mary Jo Skidmore; Brother, Wayne Carte.


Friends will be received Monday, November 25, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Zion Ridge Church of God.


Services will be held Tuesday, November 26, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Zion Ridge Church of God with Bishop Jason Acreman and Brother Tony Thomas officiating.


Interment will follow in Mt. Pisgah Cemetery, Clanton, Alabama.
