Dolores Agnes Mims

Dolores (Ben) Mims, 85, of Coopers, Alabama passed away August 26, 2024, at Shelby Ridge Nursing Home.

She was born November 8, 1938, in Clanton, Alabama, daughter of the late Authuro and Madolene Henriquez.

She was a homemaker.

Surviving are her Daughters, Sandi (Danny) Wade, Donna (Forrest) Sutton; Sons, Simon (Tina) Bussie, Buddy Bussie; Son-in-Law, Rex Marcus; 14 Grandchildren; 31 Great-Grandchildren; 4 Great-Great-Grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her Husband, Cleveland Mims; Daughter, Teresa Marcus; Son, Tony Bussie; Brother, Jimmy Childress; Father, Authuro Henriquez; Mother, Madolene Henriquez.

Graveside service will be held Thursday, August 29, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Martin Memorial Cemetery, Clanton, Alabama. Interment will follow.

The family would like to express their gratitude to the nurses, staff, and care taker team at Shelby Ridge Nursing Home for their kindness, compassion, medical care, and support while taking care of Mrs. Mims. Knowing that she was well cared for has given us peace. Thank you for going out of your way to make her and her family comfortable during her time there. We are so thankful for all of your dedication to your patients. We would also like to thank Martin Funeral Home for their kindness while planning her Celebration of Life. Each person has made this experience a smooth process.
