Don "Big Daddy" McRae, 73, of Thorsby died Monday, August 8, 2016 at East Georgia Medical Center, Statesboro, GA. He was born on Tuesday, June 22, 1943 in Dallas Co., AL, Son of the late Bayliss McRae and the late Lucy Steweart McRae. He was a Project Manager. Surviving are Wife, Barbara Battle McRae of Thorsby, AL; Daughter, Kelly Lee (Park Lee) of Milton, FL; Sons, Keith McRae of Thorsby, AL, Kyle McRae (Michelle McRae) of Thorsby, AL; Granddaughters, Nancy Rios (Charley Rios) of Lithia, FL, Katy Lee of Milton, FL; Grandsons, Ryan McRae of Alabaster, AL, Braden McRae of Thorsby, AL, Conner McRae of Thorsby, AL; Great-Grandchildren, Aubrey, Emma, Park & Haynes Rios, James Bayless & Hattie Lee, Raelyn Joiner & Brantley McRae. He was preceded in death by his Parents, Bayliss & Lucy McRae. Friends will be received from 1-2, Friday, August 12, 2016 @ Thorsby First Baptist Church. Services will be held Friday, August 12, 2016, at 2:00 P.M. at Thorsby First Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Shelby Memory Gardens, Calera, Alabama.
