Donald O'Neal Nelson

Donald O'neal Nelson, 68, of Clanton, Alabama passed away July 23, 2022 in Birmingham, Alabama.

He was born May 13, 1954 in Alabama, son of the late Willie Nelson and the late Lois Nelson.

He was a retired Substation Inspector with Alabama Power.

Surviving are his Daughters, Donya Nelson and Nora Wright; Son, Darrell Nelson; Grandchildren, Tylen DeVuaghn, Aly DeVaughn and Brylen DeVaughn; Sisters, Debbie (Jerry) Harkness, Diane (George) Williams and Shirley (Wesley) Sansom; Brother, Jerry (Ella) Nelson; Brother-in-Law, Mike Harrell; Special Friend, Linda Nelson Clackler; and a host of Nieces and Nephews.

He was preceded in death by his Parents, Willie Frank and Lois Florence Nelson; Sister, Sandra Harrell.

Friends will be received Wednesday, July 27, 2022 from 1:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Poplar Springs Baptist Church.

Services will be held Wednesday, July 27, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at Poplar Springs Baptist Church with Jason Acreman officiating.

Interment will follow in Poplar Springs Baptist Cemetery, Clanton, Alabama.
