Donald Gene Phillips Sr., 72, of Calera, Alabama passed away October 26, 2022 in Calera, Alabama.

He was born September 17, 1950, in Alabama, son of the late Hershel Phillips and the late Clara Phillips.

He was a Home Builder.

Surviving are his Wife, Sue Phillips; Sons, Tony (Todd) Phillips, Leon Phillips, Bobby (Vickie) Bice and Don (April) Phillips; A host of grandchildren and great grandchildren; Brothers, Roger (Jodie) Phillips and Luther (Cathy) Phillips; Sisters, Sarah Bryant, Linda (Harvey) Kimmey, Dean (Wayne) Talley and Nancy Endress; and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his Father, Hershel Phillips; Mother, Clara Mae Phillips; Brothers, Herman Phillips, Gerald  Phillips and Houston Phillips; Sister, Ann Phillips Jones.

Friends will be received Saturday, October 29, 2022 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. at Martin Funeral Home.

Graveside services will be held , October 29, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at Shelby Memory Gardens with Leon Glass officiating.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.

Interment will follow in Shelby Memory Gardens, Calera, Alabama.
