Donald Lee Popwell

Donald L. Popwell, age 76, passed away peacefully July 4, 2023, at home with his family by his side. He was born September 29, 1946, in Clanton, Alabama. He is preceded in death by his father and mother, Erskin and Geneva Popwell.

Don is survived by his wife, Wanda, his three daughters, Tracie Hill, Tammy Hand (Donnie) and Katie Maddox (Clay), six grandchildren, two brothers, one sister and many nieces and nephews.

Don loved to fish and was a master griller. He will be most remembered for his mouth-watering barbeque and his love of cooking for his family. He had a long career in sales.

The family would like to thank Pro Health Home Health & Hospice for caring for Don in the last few weeks.

Don’s family will have a private memorial service at a later date.
