Donald Ray Verner, 74, of Thorsby died Sunday, December 27, 2015. He was born on Saturday, August 23, 1941 in North Carolina, Son of the late Cecil W. Verner and the late Ona Bea Satterfield Verner. He was a Construction Worker. Surviving are Wife, Nell Verner of Thorsby, AL; Son, Jeff Verner of Montgomery, AL; Daughter, Kristel Payton of Thorsby, AL; Granddaughter, Erika Ray of Jemison, AL; Grandsons, Tyler Verner of Montgomery, AL, Hayden Verner of Auburn, AL; Sister, Evelyn Sneed of Murphy, N.C.; A Host of Nieces. Friends will be received from 10-11, Tuesday, December 29, 2015 @ Mulberry Baptist Church. Services will be held Tuesday, December 29, 2015, at 11:00 A.M. at Mulberry Baptist Church with Rev. Andy Mims and Rev. David Bishop officiating. Interment will follow in Mulberry Baptist Cemetery, Maplesville, Alabama. Martin Funeral Home directing.
