Dora Alice Huett

Dora Alice Huett, 88, of Prattville, Alabama passed away August 2, 2022 at her residence.

She was born April 19, 1934 in Georgia, daughter of the late Claude Carl Rice and the late Alice Missouri Rice.

First and foremost, Dora loved her Savior and she tried to share Him with everyone she knew. Next, her family was her greatest joy. She loved family gatherings. She was a great cook, crafter,

and memory maker. Dora loved her church. For over 50 years, she worked tirelessly in VBS, Sunday School, WMU, choir, Homecoming committee, and anything else she was asked to do. She loved the scriptures, and when she couldn't read anymore, she listened to the Bible on tape. Dora will be missed, but we are so glad she is healed and in the arms of her sweet Jesus.

Surviving are her Son, John (JW) William (Cindy) Huett; Daughter, Brenda (Terry) Hughes; Four Grandchildren; Thirteen Great-Grandchildren; Sister, Evelyn Welch; and Special Caregiver, Terri Jones.

She was preceded in death by her Father, Claude Carl Rice; Mother, Alice Missouri Rice; Husband, James Alfred "Pete" Huett; Sons, Don Huett and Anthony Huett; Brother, Carl Rice; Sisters, Nadine Dobbs, Susie Lee.

Friends will be received Thursday, August 4, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at White Pond Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be held Friday, August 5, 2022, at 10:30 a.m. at White Pond Baptist Church with Rev. Lamar Lyon and Rev. Donnie Burns presiding.

Interment will follow in White City Cemetery, White City, Alabama.
