Doris Pitts Boggs, 86, of Clanton died Monday, January 30, 2012 at Chilton Medical Center, Clanton. She was born on Sunday, July 12, 1925 in Bessemer, AL, Daughter of the late Mr. & Mrs. Henry E. Pitts. She loved life and never met a stranger. She was also an avid golfer. Surviving are her 2 Sons, William Mark (Carolyn) Boggs of Bimingham, AL, Roddy (Melanie) Boggs of Clanton, AL; 4 Grandchildren, Wesli Boggs of Birmingham, AL, Zachary Boggs of Birmingham, AL, Tyler Boggs of Clanton, AL, Blake Boggs of Clanton, AL; Sister, Martha (Richard) Yawn of Moundville, AL; 2 Sister-in-Laws, Thelma Pitts of Dadeville, AL, Hazel Williams of Selma, AL; Brother-in-Law, Glenn Boggs of San Antonio, TX; A host of nieces, nephews & other family. She was preceded in death by her husband, William P. Boggs and brothers, Henry E. Pitts, Jr. & Glenn E. Pitts. Friends will be received from 5-7, Wednesday, February 1, 2012 @ Martin Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside services will be held Thursday, February 2, 2012, at 1:00 P.M. at New Liveoak Cemetery, Selma, AL.
