Doris A. Nolen

Doris A. Nolen, 82, of Clanton, Alabama passed away July 21, 2022 at her residence in Clanton, Alabama.

She was born August 29, 1939 in Alabama, daughter of the late Willis Pennington and the late Dorothy Johnson.

She was Retired.

Surviving are Husband, Benny Nolen; Beloved Dog, Molly; Brother, Don Pennington; Sister, Judy Riley; Sister, Gail Gosa; Brother, Randy Pennington; Special Friend, Elizabeth Minor; Adopted Daughters, April Mathis and Andrea Burks.

She was preceded in death by her Son, Keith Jones; Daughter, Lisa Robinson; Father, Willis Gilbert Pennington; Mother, Dorothy Mae Johnson; Sister, Betty Burchett.

Doris and her husband were active members of West End Baptist Church and attended Barry Kornegy's Sunday School Class, they were also active members of Senior Connection in Clanton.

Special thanks to Celestie Mullins with Southern Care and Sitters, Amy Ford and Summer Miller.  They were a God send to Doris to make the transition to Heaven as easy as possible.

Doris wanted her life to be her obituary. She was the most kind and loving person anybody would ever meet.

Per Doris's personal arrangements with Martin Funeral Home in 2017, a private graveside service was held at Libery Hill Baptist Cemetery on Friday, July 22, 2022 with Rev. James Watkins officiating.
