She was born on Wednesday, July 7, 1926 in Chilton Co., AL, Daughter of the late Lonnie Rhodes and the late Alberta Hicks Rhodes. She was a Homemaker. Surviving are Husband of 23 years, Donald Rachels of Calera, AL; Sons, Larry (Mary Ann) Carroll of Daphne, AL, Tim (Landra) Carroll of Plano, TX; Step-son, Wayne (Barbara) Rachels of Ashville, AL, Mike (Mary Nell) Rachels of Pearland, TX, Phillip (Diane) Rachels of Calera, AL; 8 Grandchildren, Numerous Great-Grandchildren, Host of Nieces & Nephews. She was preceded in death by her First Husband, Delbert Carroll, Stepdaughter & Stepson-in-law, Sandra & Joe Chandler. Friends will be received from 6-8, Thursday, July 2, 2015 @ Martin Funeral Home. Services will be held Friday, July 3, 2015, at 11:00 A.M. at Martin Chapel with Rev. Tom Hammett and Rev. Luis Orteza officiating. Interment will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Bessemer, AL.
