She was born on Monday, August 30, 1926 in Chilton Co., AL, Daughter of the late Commodore Messer and the late Jessie Riggins Messer. She was a Homemaker. Surviving are her 3 Daughters, Greer Albriton, Susan McKee, Lori Thompson; Son, Jeff Blankenship; Grandchildren, Tom Tiffin, Brian Tiffin, Chad McKee, Kari Pitts, Adam Thompson, Chase Thompson; Great-Grandchildren, Kaley Tiffin, Rachel Pavon, Brooke Tiffin, Caleb Tiffin, Chloe Pitts, Isabella McKee; Great-Great Grandchild, Aidyn Pavon. She was preceded in death by her Husband, Emmett Blankenship. Friends will be received from 5-8, Friday, July 15, 2011 @ Martin Funeral Home Chapel. Services will be held Saturday, July 16, 2011, at 11:00 A.M. at Clanton First United Methodist Church with Rev. Brian Dovey officiating.
