Dorothy June Griffin

Family graveside services for Dorothy June Mims Griffin will be held Sunday, September 1, 2019 at 3:00 P.M. at Martin Memorial Cemetery in Clanton, Alabama. Mrs. Griffin, age 81, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 29th, 2019 at Country Meadows Personal Care Home in Greenwood, Mississippi. She was born on June 25, 1938 in Clanton, Alabama to the late Dewey and Nettie Mims. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eddie Donald Griffin, her son, Eddie Randle Griffin and his wife, Betty Jo Griffin, her son, Donald Scott Griffin, her granddaughter, Angela Kay Griffin, her brother and sister-in-law, Buddy (and Jeantte) Mims, her sister and brother-in-law, Ruby Lois (and Jimmy) Mims, her brother-in-law, Ralph Frith, her grandmother - who raised her, Sallie Headley and her step-mother, El Marine Mims. She is survived by her daughters, June Griffin Kenwright (James) of Greenwood, Mississippi, and Sharon Griffin Besnard (Todd) of Bay St. Louis, Mississippi, 12 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. She was a member of Church of the Highlands in Birmingham, Alabama and a past member of Greenwood Church of God for many years.
