Dorothy Virginia Minor, 76, of Clanton died Thursday, January 17, 2013 at Shelby Baptist Medical Center, Alabaster. She was born on Tuesday, September 29, 1936 in Chilton Co., Alabama, Daughter of the late Exer Washington Blackmon and the late Rosie Blankenship Blackmon. She was retired from a sewing plant. Surviving are 5 Sons, Lyn Minor of Rockford, AL, Danny Minor of Verbena, AL, Donny Minor of Bessemer, AL, Charles Minor of Deatsville, AL, Tim Minor of Birmingham, AL; 3 Daughters, Diane Easterling of Clanton, AL, Sue Cleckler of Thorsby, AL, Teresa Mims of Clanton, AL; 17 Grandchildren, 13 Great Grandchildren, 1 Great Great Grandchild; Half-Sister, Ida Bass of Clanton, AL. Friends will be received from 5-8, Friday, January 18, 2013 at Martin Chapel. Services will be held Saturday, January 19, 2013, at 1:00 pm. at Martin Chapel with Rev. Thurman Cleckler officiating.
