Dorothy Dell Ray

Dorothy  Ray, 92, of Clanton, Alabama passed away on April 17, 2025, at her daughter's residence in Clanton, Alabama.

She was born on November 8, 1932, in Chilton County, Alabama, and was the daughter of the late Alonza and Clettie Chandler.

She loved to tend to her flower garden and was an avid fisher. She adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and always made it a point to support them at all of their activities.

Surviving are her Daughter, Judy R. (Donny) Finlayson; Grandson, Barton R. Finlayson; Granddaughter, Brooke Finlayson (John) Sullivan; Great-Grandson, John Michael Sullivan, V; Great-Granddaughter Finlay Brooke Sullivan.

She was preceded in death by her Husband, Curtis Eugene Ray; Parents, Alonza Lee & Clettie Ethel Chandler; Brothers, Elbert Chandler, Cliff Chandler, Jack Chandler, Edward Chandler, Marlon Chandler, and James Chandler; Sister, Dora Headley; Infant son, Terry Wayne Ray.

Friends will be received on Wednesday, April 23, 2025 from 10:00 A.M to 11:00 A.M at Cane Creek Baptist Church.

Services will be held on Wednesday, April 23, 2025 at 11:00 A.M at Cane Creek Baptist Church with Brother Robert Gibson and Brother Ken Chandler officiating.

Internment will follow in Cane Creek Baptist Cemetery, Clanton, Alabama.
