Douglas Ray Giles

Douglas Ray Giles, 78, of Clanton, Alabama passed away June 16, 2025, at his residence.

He was born August 29, 1946, in Chilton County, Alabama, son of the late Hershell Giles and the late Polly Giles.

He retired with Chilton Waterworks Authority as a line locator in 2008. He was a Company Commander Aide and Drill Sergeant with the United States Army.

Surviving are his Loving Wife of 53 years, Jo Ann Giles; Sons, Danny Ray (April) Giles, William Correll Giles; Grandchildren, Dylan Ray (Brookelyn) Giles, Hanna Grace (Blake) Lockhart, Anthony (Jenna) Griffith; Great-Grandchildren, Rosalyn Giles, Marilyn Giles, Cameron Giles, Mason Griffith, Aaron Griffith, Parker Griffith.

He was preceded in death by his Father, Hershell Giles; Mother, Polly Giles; Brothers, Ted Giles, Ken Giles.

Friends will be received Thursday, June 19, 2025, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, June 19, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jason Green officiating.

Interment will follow in Martin Memorial Cemetery.

Pallbearers will Jason Smith, Chris Mills, Chip Lovelady, Casey Childress, John Hunter Huett, Anthony Tyler Griffith and Chris Towers.
