He was born on Saturday, May 12, 1934 in Chilton Co., AL, Son of the late Augusta Eugene Mims and the late Alice Roberta Owens. He was retired from the U.S. Air Force. Surviving are his Wife, Mrs. Helen Mims of Clanton, AL; Daughter, Ms. Vikii Mims of Clanton, AL; Sister, Mrs. Mitchelene Patterson of Ft. Walton, FL; Brother, Mr. Donald Mims of Reno, NV. Friends will be received from 5-8, Thursday, November 11, [emailprotected] Martin Funeral Home Chapel. Services will be held Friday, November 12, 2010, at 1:00 P.M.. at Chestnut Creek Bapt. Church with Rev. Derek Deavers, Rev. Johnny Johnston, Rev. Greg Bixlar, Rev. Aubrey Wallace and Rev. Hoyt Chastain officiating. Interment will follow in Bethany Baptist Cemetery, Verbena, Alabama.
