Douglas Allen Smith, 87, of Channelview, Texas passed away January 9, 2021 at his residence in Channelview, Texas. He was born July 19, 1933 in Clanton, Alabama, son of the late Howard Smith and the late Gertrude Smith. He was a Pipe Line Technician. Surviving are his Daughter, Dawn (Bryan) Brown; Son, Daniel Smith; Granddaughters, Sarah Smith, Rachel (Caleb) Wendt and Beth (Brett) Isbell; Great-Granddaughters, Peyton Gough and Tilley Isbell; Sisters, Marie (Ralph) Smith, Idis (David) Edwards and Sister, Ruth (Terry) Yarbrough; Brother, James Roy (Dorothy) Smith; a Host of nieces, nephews and family friends.. He was preceded in death by his Father, Howard Smith; Mother, Gertrude Smith; Wife, Dorothy Smith; Brothers, Reedie H. Smith, John D. Smith and Jerry Wayne Smith. Friends will be received Saturday, January 16, 2021, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel in Clanton, Alabama. Services will be held Saturday, January 16, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Mt. Pleasant Baptist Cemetery, Clanton, Alabama.
