He was born on Sunday, July 9, 1922 in Chilton Co., AL, Son of the late Alfred L. Smitherman and the late Berthie Chism Smitherman. Surviving are his Daughter, Charlotte O. Bass of Prattville, AL; 3 Granddaughters, Carla B. Cleckley of Clanton, AL, Cory Ausborn of Prattville, AL, Dee Dee Ousley of Prattville, AL; Grandson, Mr. Chris Baker of Clanton, AL; 6 Great Grandchildren, 1 Great Great Grandchild. Friends will be received from 9:30-10:30 Wednesday, December 8, 2010 @ Martin Funeral Home Chapel.
