Earl Washington "Snowy" MELTON, 90, of Clanton died Saturday, June 27, 2009 at his residence. He was born on Friday, January 31, 1919 in Chilton County , Alabama, Son of the late Lemmie Porter Melton and the late Nettie Riggins. He was a Tax Collector. Surviving are his Wife, Sylvia K. Melton of Clanton, AL; Daughter, Pat (Doug) Coe of Clanton, AL; Son-in-Law, Troy Mims of Clanton, AL; 4 Grandchildren, Lynn Hauswirth, Dana Harmon, Les Mims, Bret Mims; 6 Great-Grandchildren, Krista Hauswirth, Anna Hauswirth, Jessica Harmon, Jordan Harmon, Natalie Harmon, Garrett Harmon. He was preceded in death by his Wife, Lorene Melton and Daughter, Judy Melton Mims. Friends will be received from 5-8, Sunday, June 28, 2009 @ Martin Funeral Home. Services will be held Monday, June 29, 2009, at 11:00AM. at Liberty Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Roland Davis, Rev. Kent Dodson and Rev. Robert Griffin officiating. Interment will follow in Liberty Hill Baptist Cemetery, Clanton, AL Martin Funeral Home directing.
