Edith Louise HOOKS, 82, of Clanton died Sunday, October 18, 2009 at Brookwood Medical Center, Birmingham. She was born on Thursday, August 25, 1927 in Randolph Co, AL, Daughter of the late Guy Nichols and the late Myrtle Waldrop Nichols. She was a Beautician. Surviving are her Sister, Glenda Jackson of Jemison, AL; Sister-in-Law, Belinda Nichols of Selma, AL; Numerous Nieces & Nephews. She was preceded in death by her Husband, Harvey Hooks; Sister, Frances McGalliard; Sister, Marie Alexander; Brother, Murphy Nichols; Brother, Gene Nichols; Brother, Charles Nichols. Friends will be received from 1:30 PM, Tuesday, October 20, 2009 @ Union Congregational Church. Services will be held Tuesday, October 20, 2009, at 2:00 PM. at Union Congregational with Rev. Cary Waldrop and Rev. Neal Hodo officiating. Interment will follow in Union Congregational, Marbury, AL. Martin Funeral Home directing.
