Edna Marie Cooedy

Funeral services for Mrs. Edna Marie Cooedy will be held at Highland Baptist Church on Friday, August 21, 2009 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Robert Griffin and Rev. Doug Powell officiating. Friends and family will be received on Thursday, August 20, 2009 from 5-8 @ Martin Funeral Home. Mrs. Cooedy was born in Clanton, AL on September 6, 1930 to the late Mr. and Mrs. Cliff and Pearly Taylor. She was known to the entire community as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She was a farmer's wife and she loved to farm and grow things herself as well. She is survived by her husband Raymond F. Cooedy, her daughter, Mary Frances Mims (Eddie Mims), her son Gerald F. Cooedy (Patricia Cooedy). Four granddaughters, Kim Moore (Mitch Moore), Pam Emerick (Alex Emerick), Angie Handley (Chris Handley) and Haley Cooedy. Four great-grandchildren, Jacob Emerick, Kacy Handley, Destiny Handley and Shelby Handley. One sister, Lois Sparks (Chester Sparks) and one brother, Clifford "Jenkins" Taylor (late Flora Taylor). She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Wilodean Milford, one brother-in-law, Obie Milford and one sister-in-law Flora Taylor. Our hearts are empty with her gone, she will be greatly missed by all her friends and family and anyone who knew her.
