Edna Earle Staggs Davenport, 87, of Clanton passed away Sunday, September 22, 2019. She was born on Tuesday, May 10, 1932 in Florence, AL, Daughter of the late Clarence Staggs and the late Victoria O'neal Staggs. Surviving are Daughter, Betty Tidwell; Son, Greg (Amanda) Davenport; Grandsons, David Sewell, Daniel (Tammy) Sewell; 8 Great-Grandchildren, 2 Great-Great Grandchildren, Host of Nieces & Nephews; Sister, Shirley McCartney; Sister-in-Law, Emma Staggs, Juanita Staggs. She was preceded in death by her Husband of 51 years, William Harry Davenport, Parents, Clarence &Victoria O'neal Staggs, Sister, Adele Nichols, Brothers, Willie, Frank & James Staggs. Friends will be received from 5-7, Tuesday, September 24, 2019 @ Martin Funeral Home. Services will be held Wednesday, September 25, 2019, at 1:00 P.M. at Friendship Baptist Church with Rev. Jackie Bentley & Rev. Buddy Staggs officiating. Interment will follow in Friendship Baptist Cemetery, Clanton, AL 35045. Martin Funeral Home directing.
