Edna Idell Hathcock, 71, of Thorsby died Tuesday, May 24, 2011 at Shelby Baptist Medical Center, Alabaster. She was born on Monday, September 25, 1939 in Florida, Daughter of the late William Crum and the late Edna Branch Crum. She was a Homemaker. Surviving are her Husband, Ferris "Doc" Hathcock of Thorsby, AL; Daughter, Rhonda (Danny) Rhodes of Clanton, AL; Son, Ricky Hathcock of Apalachicola, FL; 5 Grandchildren, Shane Mallon, Brandi Ford, Christian Hathcock, Ricky Hathcock, Annie Marie Messer; 5 Great-Grandchildren, Jayden Ford, Dane Mallon, McKenna Hathcock, Kaia Hathcock, Tolson Messer; Brother, Ronald Crum; Sister, Billy Faye Davis. Services will be held Thursday, May 26, 2011, at 11:00 EST. at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Apalachicola, FL with Father Roger Latosynski officiating. Interment will follow in Magnolia Cemetery, Apalachicola, FL. Martin Funeral Home directing.
