Elaine Joyce Elmore Williams, 85, of Clanton, Alabama passed away after battling Leukemia on March 6, 2022 at her home, surrounded by her loved ones.
She was born February 25, 1937 in Crystal, North Dakota, daughter of the late Melvin Greenwood and Gudrun Asmundson Greenwood.
She was a loving Mom, Grandma, and Memaw. She loved serving others and serving the Lord. She shared her many talents of cooking, quilting, and gardening to bless the lives of others. She loved her little dog, Kalee. She was the original owner of Hickory Chip BBQ. She served in the Birmingham Alabama Temple for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She had a big heart and will be missed by all that knew her.
Surviving are her daughters: Crystal (Bob) Murphy, Joanne Ehler, Theresa (Terry) Phillips, Tami (Steve) Daniels, her sons: Thomas Joseph "Jody" (Pam) Elmore, Robert J. "Robbie" (Becky) Elmore, step-son, Harry (Annette) Williams, Jr., step-son, Lynn (Mary) Williams, step-son, Andy Williams, step-son, Sid Nichols, 18 Grandchildren, 45 Great-Grandchildren, sister, Doris Gibbens, brother, Jay Greenwood,
She was preceded in death by her father, Melvin H. Greenwood, mother, Gudrun Asmundson Greenwood, husband, Thomas Lloyd Elmore, her husband, Harry L. Williams Sr., son, Thomas Elliott Elmore, great-grandson, Eli Daniels, son-in-law, Gordon Ehler, step-daughter, Barbara Williams Nichols.
Friends will be received Thursday, March 10, 2022 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.
Services will be held Friday, March 11, 2022, at 1:00 pm. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel with President Jody Elmore, officiating.
Interment will follow in Martin Memorial Cemetery, Clanton, Alabama.
