Eli Norris, 75, of Clanton died Friday, December 31, 2010. He was born on Thursday, May 13, 1935 in Chilton Co., AL, Son of the late Claude F. Norris and the late Elizabeth Baxley Norris. He served his country for 22 years in the US Navy. Member of Trinity Bible Church, Clanton, AL Surviving are his Daughter, Barbara Whatley of Clanton, AL; Son, Larry Norris of Clanton, AL; Great Grandson, Christopher Davenport of Clanton, AL, Grandson, Jason Childress of Shelby, AL; Brother, Otto Norris of Troy, AL; 3 Sisters, Dorothy Stutzman of Clanton, AL, Carolyn Ray of Millbrook, AL, Betty Jean Price of Clanton, AL; 3 Granddaughters, Stephanie Davenport of Clanton, AL, Jennifer Williams of Jemison, AL, Kimberly Pierce of Verbena, AL; 11 Great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his Wife of 55 years Mitsuko Norris, mother, Elizabeth Price, his father, Claude F. Norris, his stepfather, Horroll Price, his brother, Edward C. Price, his sisters, Virginia Outz and Peggy Southard, great granddaughter, Emily Katelyn Childress. Friends will be received from 12:30-1:30 Wednesday, January 5, 2011 @ Martin Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside Services will be held Wednesday, January 5, 2011, at 2:00 P.M.. at Martin Memorial Cemetery, Clanton, Alabama with Rev. Donald Talley officiating.
