Elizabeth E. Bennett, 95, of Clanton died Friday, September 28, 2012 at her residence in Clanton. She was born on Saturday, July 28, 1917 in Shelby Co., Alabama, Daughter of the late Jasper William Roy and the late Claudie Nunnley Roy. She was a retired restaurant cook. Surviving are 2 Sons, Gene (Janice) Bennett of Adairsville, GA, Robert (Vicki) Bennett of Thorsby, AL; 3 Daughters, Patricia Staggs of Jemison, AL, Lois (Kirby) Belk of Jemison, AL, Lera Langston of Jemison, AL; Special Grandson, Brian Belk of Clanton, AL; 15 Grandchildren, 28 Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, O. B. Bennett; Parents, Jasper & Claudie Roy; 6 Sisters and 4 Brothers. Friends will be received from 10-11 am, Monday, October 1, 2012 at Martin Funeral Home Chapel. Services will be held Monday, October 1, 2012, at 11:00 am. at Martin Chapel with Rev. Keith Edwards and Rev. Bobby Simmons officiating. Interment will follow in Thorsby Memorial Cemetery, Thorsby, AL Family request no flowers.
