Elizabeth "Liz" Anne Olis, 62, of Clanton died Wednesday, December 24, 2014. She was born on Sunday, November 23, 1952 in Hammond, IN, Daughter of the late William Varney and the late Maxine Martin Varney. She was a proud graduate of Calumet High School's Class of '71. Liz married Steve Olis in New Chicago, IN in 1975. She was a loving mother, grandmother, wife, sister and aunt. Liz was a member of Resurrection Catholic Church of Clanton, AL. Surviving are Husband, Hubert Steve Olis of Clanton, AL; Daughter, Stephanie (Joseph) Hamm of Jemison, AL; Sons, Mark (Rachel) Olis of Calera, AL, Kurt (Kelley) Olis of Pelham, AL; Grandson, Wyatt Olis; Granddaughters, Delaney Hamm, Ella Cate Olis, Emersyn Hamm; Brothers, Marty (Robin) Varney of Hammond, IN, David Varney of Hobart, IN; Sister, Sue (John) Flores of Ross, IN; Many Nieces, Nephews & Cousins. She was preceded in death by her Parents, William & Maxine Varney. Friends will be received from 5-8, Sunday, December 28, 2014 @ Martin Funeral Home Chapel. Also, Monday, December 29, 2014 from 9:30-10:30am @ Martin Funeral Home. Services will be held Monday, December 29, 2014, at 11:00 A.M. at Resurrection Catholic Church with Father Bruce officiating.
