Elsie Mae Payton Griffin, 85, of Clanton died Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at Hatley Health Care, Clanton. She was born on Wednesday, October 26, 1927 in Jefferson Co, AL, Daughter of the late F. C. Payton and the late Dora Smith Payton. She was a Pharmacy Clerk. Surviving are Sons, Jimmy (Anita) Griffin of Clanton, AL, Dale (Evangeline) Griffin of Clanton, AL; Daughter-in-Law, June Baker of Dadeville, AL; Grandchildren, Donna (Tommy) Vines, Vikki (Tommy) Davis, Cindy (Scott) Simpson, Neil (Laura Turner) Griffin, Chris (Heather) Griffin & Mahlea Griffin. Great-Grandchildren, Alexis Grffin, Kristen Jessica Vines, Griffin & Brynlee Davis, Devin & Daylyn Griffin. She was preceded in death by her Son, John Griffin and Grandson, David Griffin. Friends will be received from 11-12, Saturday, September 28, 2013 @ Maple Springs Baptist Church. Services will be held Saturday, September 28, 2013, at 12:00 P.M. at Maple Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Fred Donovan officiating.
