Elsie Dortheney Mims, 82, of Verbena died Friday, March 30, 2012 at Shelby Baptist Medical Center, Alabaster. She was born on Friday, January 31, 1930 in Chilton Co., AL, Daughter of the late J. Henry Cleckler and the late Rosie Mims Cleckler. She was a Homemaker. Surviving are her 2 Daughters, Dorothy (Courtney) Hooper of Prattville, AL, Lisa (Kenny) Baker of Verbena, AL; Son, Bruce (Marian) Mims of Clanton, AL; 6 Grandchildren, 9 Great Great-Grandchildren, 1 Great Great Great Grandchild, Daughter-in-Law, Jean Mims of Verbena, AL. She was preceded in death by her Husband, Glover (Bud) Mims; Son, Roy Mims and Grandchild, Dorothy Rena Hooper. Friends will be received from 6-8, Sunday, April 1, 2012 @Martin Funeral Home Chapel. Services will be held Monday, April 2, 2012, at 11:00 A.M. at Oak Grove Church of God with Rev. Randall Beagles officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Church of God Cem., Clanton, Alabama.
