Peek, Emily B., 64, a resident of Montgomery, AL, died on Thursday December 30, 2010. Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, January 2, 2011 at 1:00 P.M. from the chapel of Martin Funeral Home in Clanton, AL. with Dr. Winston Brooks and Dr. Michael Cassity officiating. Visiting hours will be held one hour prior to the services. Burial services will be held at Samaria Baptist Church Cemetery in Clanton, AL. Ms. Peek was a loving parent, and sister. Ms. Peek worked at Jim Walter Homes for many years, Union Camp, Prattville, and retired from Vocational Rehab., Veterans Administration as a Program Specialist, Montgomery, AL after 33 1/2 years of service. She was very generous in giving to different charities with children and in helping collect money and gifts for the Adullam House in Wetumpka each Christmas. She also loved her animals as well as any animal. Ms. Peek was a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church in Montgomery, AL. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Gaither and Irma Bryant, Verbena, AL., sister Bobbie Jean Smith, Pikeville, TN. She is survived by her son, Tony Peek, Marbury, AL., daughter Tammy Peek Cleckler, Clanton, AL., sister Betty Bryant Whatley, Montgomery, AL, special brother-in-law, Perry Smith from Pikeville, TN, her special and loving adopted child, Melissa Eagerton and all her dear friends at the Vocational Rehabilitation from all branches, 7 grandchildren, Amber Peek, Damion Peek, Bryant Peek, Justin Cleckler, Anastasia Cleckler, Courtney Cleckler, and Joey Cleckler, several nieces and nephews from out of state, several cousins, and many friends. Serving as pallbearers will be Tom Jones, William Killingsworth, Kyle Wilkes, Nick Veroese, Frank Hopson, Greg Duncan,Tim Duncan, Jeremy Lammon, Kenneth Rush, Jr., Honorary pallbearers will be Lee Dobson, Bubba Turner, Jack Wilkes, Bobby Blazer, Harold Woodman, Phillip Eagerton. The family has requested in lieu of flowers that donations be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, Memphis, TN. Martin Funeral Home, directing.
