Emily Cassie Tew

Emily Cassie Tew, 47, of Notasulga, died Tuesday, January 2, 2024. Two memorial services will be held. The first will be Saturday, January 6, 2024, at 2:00 pm at Notasulga First Baptist Church with Andy Chamness officiating. Visitation will begin at 1:00 pm. The church will have a meal for the family after the service. The second will be Sunday, January 7, 2024, at Martin Funeral Home in Clanton at 2:00 pm with visitation at 1:00 pm. Cassie is survived by her husband Anthony Tew; her children Caloub (Rachel) Baker, Katelin Tew, Casey Drew Baker, Kamron Tew, and Emily Shea McMinn; her grandchildren Gavin Nelson, Charles Harmon, and Nolan Baker; her siblings Craven Lanier, Chad Lanier, and Kristine Hill Ploof; her mother Janett Lanier; and several aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father David Hill and her sister Amy Hill. Cassie was a caretaker by nature, and she always loved taking care of her family, friends and her patients throughout her career as a nurse. Everyone knew her to be a loving wife, mother, sister, and grandmother. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
