Ernest Austin, 87, of Clanton, Alabama passed away September 21, 2023, at Home with his wife by his side.
He was born August 10, 1936, in Alabama, son of Millard F. and Emma Lessie Wilkerson Austin.
Ernest was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was truly loved and will be greatly missed.
Surviving are his Wife of 70 years , Minta Noreene Austin, Daughter, Linda Diane Clark, Daughter, Susan Pardon, Daughter, Terri Austin (Darrin) Sherrill, Son, Lee (Kathryn) Austin, Son, James Phillip Austin, 14 Grandchildren, 21 Great-Grandchildren, 2 Great-Great-Grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his Father, Millard F Austin, Mother, Emma Lessie Wilkerson Austin, Brother, Emmett Austin, Sister, Josephine Drawdy, Son, Ernest Darrel Austin, Daughter, Patricia Averitt.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 7, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Bethel Baptist Church.
