Ernest Willard Rev. Ratliff

Ratliff, Rev. Ernest Willard (91) died in Prattville, AL on May 24, 2013 after a brief illness. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, May 31, 2013 from Sardis Baptist Church, Maplesville, AL with Rev. Terry Smith and Rev. Robert Lovelady officiating, Martin Funeral Home directing. There will be viewing for 30 minutes prior to the service at the church. Visitation will be Thursday, 5:00-7:00 pm at Martin Funeral Home, Clanton, AL Rev. Ratliff was married to his childhood sweetheart, Louise Owen Ratliff for 65 years when she passed away on March 26, 2007. Rev. Ratliff was a World War II Veteran, having served in the US Navy on board the USS Barnstable. He is survived by 3 daughters, Carolyn Rayborn (Johnny), Deatsville, AL; Cleo Billingsley (Bill), Mineral, VA; Jo Harris (Steve); 2 brothers, Bill Ratliff (Harlan), Montgomery, AL; Cecil Ratliff (Betty), Maplesville, AL; 2 sisters, Pauline Payton, Pensacola, FL and Jean Tatum, Deatsville, AL; 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren, also many nieces and nephews. Flowers will be accepted and appreciated, however, memorial contributions to the Sardis Baptist Church Cemetery Fund or your favorite charity will be appreciated as well.
