Essie White JOHNSON, 83, of Clanton died Tuesday, April 7, 2009 at Shelby Baptist Medical Center, Alabaster. She was born on Wednesday, April 22, 1925 in North Carolina, Daughter of the late Horsley White and the late Essie Bilbrey. She was a Secretary. Surviving are her 2 Sons, Mr. Thomas White Johnson of Clanton, AL, Mr. Christopher W. Johnson of Clanton, AL ; Grandson, Mr. Andy Johnson of Chelsea, AL; Granddaughter, Mrs. Nancy J. Powell of Clanton, AL. She was preceded in death by her Husband, Willie T. Johnson. Friends will be received from 6-8, Wednesday, April 8, 2009 @ Martin Funeral Home Chapel. Services will be held Thursday, April 9, 2009, at 3:30 PM at Martin Funeral Home with Rev. Tony Smitherman officiating. Interment will follow in Clanton City Cemetery, Clanton, AL.
