Ethel Barker, 67, of Verbena died Friday, July 12, 2019 at Shelby Baptist Medical Center, Alabaster. She was born on Wednesday, November 14, 1951 in Montgomery, AL, Daughter of the late Phillip Mitchell and the late Frances Strock Mitchell. She was a School Teacher. Surviving are Husband, John Barker; Son, J. Campbell (Emily) Barker; Daughter, Mary Frances (Daniel) Bingham; 7 Grandchildren; Sister, Sara (Cada) Carter. She was preceded in death by her Parents, Phillip & Frances Mitchell, Brother, Pat Mitchell. Friends will be received from 5-7, Monday, July 15, 2019 @ Martin Funeral Home Chapel. Services will be held Tuesday, July 16, 2019, at 10:00 A.M. at Mt. Creek Baptist Church with Rev. John Episcopo officiating. Interment will follow in Verbena Cemetery, Verbena, AL.
