Ethel I. Cowart

Ethel Cowart, age 89, passed away peacefully on August 1st, 2021. “Nanny” will be greatly missed by her children, grandchildren, extended family and friends. Graveside Services will be held on Wednesday, August 4th, 2021 at 11am at Liberty Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Clanton, AL, officiated by Pastor Kent Dodson. Visitation will be held at Liberty Hill Baptist church one hour prior to service. Ethel was preceded in death by her parents, Leon and Myrtle Glover, husband, Wallace Cowart, granddaughter, Cynthia Sadler, daughter-in-law, Mary Aldridge, and son-in-law, Phil Lemmond, and all eleven brothers and sisters. She is survived by her loving children, one son, Chandler Aldridge (Chan); two daughters, Marsha Aldridge and Donna Lemmond; daughter in law, Patsy Aldridge; four granddaughters, Melanie Austin, Jennifer Rains, Stacy Nunnelley, and Kelly Lemmond; eleven great-grandchildren, Sarah and Laura Sadler, Charlie, Jack and Luke Austin, Caroline and Harrison Rains, Tristen and Beona Nunnelly, and Braxton and Leighton Thomas; extended family and friends. Pallbearers will be Charlie Austin, Justin Rains, Tristen Nunnelly, Charlie Stewart Austin, Wayne Puckett, and Peter Wallenfang. Honorary pallbearer will be Lawayne Nunnelly. The family would like to extend special thanks to Diversicare of Boaz, AL. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Liberty Hill Baptist Church, Clanton AL.
