Obituary

Ethel Culp Ousley, 103, of Clanton, Alabama passed away June 30, 2026, in Alabaster, Alabama. She was born March 6, 1923, in Clanton, Alabama, daughter of the late Thomas Grady Culp and the late Mary Lucy Andersen Culp.
Ethel was an avid farmer, following in the footsteps of her parents. She worked tirelessly on her farm, maintaining the land her father passed down to her, through generations. Her tenacious nature and unwavering determination allowed her to overcome any obstacles she faced. Ethel's love for her animals was evident as she named each and every one of them. She took pleasure in teaching her grandchildren and great grandchildren how to fish in her ponds. Friday evening's catfish fry made with fish caught fresh from her ponds, will forever be a memory her family cherishes. Ethel's faith was an integral part of her life, as she was a devoted member of Pleasant Grove Methodist Protestant Church. She never wavered in her beliefs and attended church faithfully throughout her entire life. Surviving are her Daughter, Blanche Dennis; Daughter-in-law, Martha Headley; Five Grandchildren; Seven Great-Grandchildren; Two Great-Great-Grandchildren; and so many other amazing family, friends and neighbors. She was preceded in death by her Father, Thomas Grady Culp; Mother, Mary Lucy Andersen Culp; Husband, Leo Judson Ousley; Son, Larry Willard Headley; Sisters, Gracie Mae Culp Foshee, Emma Lucille Culp Headley, Annie Delene Culp Wiliams.
