Evan Terrell Hollon, 48, of Plantersville, Alabama went home to be with his Lord and Savior Sunday, October 1, 2023, at home with his family in Plantersville, AL.
He was born December 29, 1974, in Alabama, son of Terrell Hollon and Cynthia Hollon.
He was an engineer with CSX Transportation for 25 years. But most of all, Evan was a Christian, a cherished husband, devoted father, a loving son and brother, the rock of his family and friend to many. From the voice of many friends and family, "Evan, you are a good man".
Surviving are his loving Wife, Julie Hollon, Daughter, Abby Elizabeth Hollon, Parents, Terrell and Cynthia Hollon, Brother, Justin Lang (Nachole) Hollon, Father-in-love, J.C. Smith, Mother-in-love, Valerie Smith, Brother and Sister-in-love, Jimmy and Rachel Smith, Niece, Valerie Ogle, Niece, Kyndal Hollon, Niece, Andrea Smith, Niece, Amelia Smith, Nephew, Hunter Denny, Nephew, Coltin Hollon, Grandmother-in-love, Eleanor Smith, Grandparents-in-love, Doug and Shirley Mobley, Special Aunt, Darlene Smith, Special Aunt, Shelby Jean Smith.
He was preceded in death by his Grandparents, Lonnie Alexander (Ola Pearl) Hollon, Grandparents, David Leon (Sara Fuller) Evans, Grandfather, Curtis RV Smith, Cousin, Joey Dwynne Evans.
Evan was so much to so many. A very talented craftsman, gardener, appreciator of music, art, and food and creator of beauty and usefulness out of what others might cast aside.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, October 4, 2023, at 2:00 pm. at Boones Chapel Baptist Church in Prattville, AL with Rev. Matt Hall and Special speaker Dale Earwood officiating.
