Evelyn Waldrup CHAMPION, 91, of Verbena died Friday, March 19, 2010 at Wetumpka Nursing & Rehab, Wetumpka. She was born on Sunday, August 4, 1918 in Tallapoosa Co., AL, Daughter of the late Clyde Leon Waldrup and the late Nettie Thornton Waldrup. She was an Insurance Agent. Surviving are her 3 Sons, John C. (Carlene) Champion of Albany, OR, George S. (Pam) Champion of Mt. Airy, GA, David (Lucinda) Champion of Verbena, AL; 7 Grandchildren, 6 Great Grandchildren; Sister, Lois Anne Manderson of Vance , AL; Sister-in-Law, Roberta Waldrup of Montgomery, AL. She was preceded in death by her Husband, Hugh Champion and Daughter, Laurel Lou Trenchard; Brothers, Lee Waldrup, Milton Waldrup, Ed Waldrup. Friends will be received from 11-12, Saturday, March 27, 2010 @ Verbena United Methodist Church. Services will be held Saturday, March 27, 2010, at 12:00 P.M.. at Verbena United Methodist Church with Rev. George Champion officiating.
