Felix Burt

Felix Lonzo Burt, 79, of Maplesville died Thursday, August 7, 2014. He was born on Monday, October 29, 1934 in Chilton Co., AL, Son of the late John W. Burt and the late Alison Broadhead Burt. He was an engineer, avid fisherman, gardener & farmer. His family was most important to him, along with wood working and rescuing wild life. Surviving are his Wife, Jean Burt of Maplesville, AL; Daughter, Vickie (Steve) Brian of St. Simons Island, GA; Son, James A. (Julia) Burt of Harrah, OK; Grandsons, Wesley (Jordan) Burt, Bradley Burt; Granddaughters, Jennifer Brian, Callie (James) Davies, Morgan Brian; Sister, Carolyn Jones of Lipscomb, AL. He was preceded in death by his Son, Lonnie Burt. Friends will be received from 6-8 p.m., Sunday, August 10, 2014 at Martin Funeral Home. Services will be held Monday, August 11, 2014, at 10:00 a.m. at Ebenezer Baptist Church with Rev. Joey Green officiating. Interment will follow in Ebenezer Baptist Cemetery, Stanton, Alabama.
