Rev. Frank W. Nelson, 82, of Clanton died Wednesday, April 6, 2016. He was born on Friday, September 29, 1933 in Autauga Co., AL, Son of the late John H. Nelson and the late Katie Bell Strength Nelson. He was a Minister. Surviving are Daughters, Diane (George) Williams, Debbie (Jerry) Harkness, Sandy (Mike) Harrell, Shirley (Wesley) Sansom; Sons, Don Nelson, Jerry (Ella) Nelson; Granddaughters, Michelle (Jason) Nelson Lucas, Denise (Ty) Nelson Ballew, Janet (DeWayne) Williams Castleberry, Donya Nelson, Rachael Harkness, Lindsey Brannon; Mandy (Kevin) Spencer Wright, Misty (Brian) Sansom Atcheson; Grandsons, Michael (Ginger) Williams, Darrell Nelson, Jerry Michael Harkness II, Nathan (Erin) Sansom; 22 Great-Grandchildren, 1 Great-Great Grandchild. He was preceded in death by his Wife, Lois Nelson, Grandson, Nick Spencer, Granddaughter, Casey Spencer, Parents, John & Katie Bell Nelson and 7 Brothers & 5 Sisters. Friends will be received from 5-7, Friday, April 8, 2016 @ Martin Funeral Home. Services will be held Saturday, April 9, 2016, at 2:00 P.M. at Poplar Springs Bapt. Church with Rev. Jason Acreman and Rev. Ken Brand officiating. Interment will follow in Poplar Springs Bapt. Cem., Clanton, Alabama. Martin Funeral Home directing.
