Surviving are his Wife, Geraldine Mullins Mims of Clanton, AL; Son, Dirk (Ellen) Mims of Clanton, AL; Daughters, Gwen (Kelly) Smitherman of Randolph, AL, Rhonda (Randy) Brasher of Clanton, AL; Grandchildren, Rachel (David) Heflin of Clanton, AL, Justin (Kendra) Smitherman of Randolph, AL, Olivia Smitherman of Randolph, AL, Keri Brasher of Clanton, AL, Kelsey (Tanner) Powell of Clanton, AL, Kacy Brasher of Clanton, AL; Great-Grandchild, Maddie Heflin of Clanton, AL. He was preceded in death by his Parents, J.C. & Ruby Mims. Friends will be received from 11-12 p.m., Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at Martin Funeral Home. Services will be held Wednesday, July 12, 2017, at 12:00 p.m. at Martin Chapel with Rev. Ollie Clyde Jones officiating. Interment will follow in Maple Springs Cemetery, Clanton, AL.
