He was a Lance Corporal with the U.S. Marine Corp. Surviving are his Wife, Deborah S. Burnette of Verbena, AL; Daughters, Regina Burnette of Mobile, AL, Amber Burnette of Marbury, AL; Son, Gene Presley Burnette, Jr. of Jemison, AL; 5 Grandchildren, 2 Great-Grandchildren; Brother, James Burnette of Calera, AL. He was preceded in death by his Parents, Byrd Lee and Margie Burnette. No services at this time. Interment will be in the Alabama National Cemetery, Montevallo, AL. Martin Funeral Home directing.
